Pretty Series on my mind today as the fansubbed PriKatsu movie just popped up on my queue...
Discord is owned by Amazon, unfortunately.
Lately I have been meaning to finish setting up a VR mod for them...just was having trouble getting the JF1 head tracking injection to work last time (unfortunately doesn't work for JF2 at all last I checked), but looked good in stereoscopic HD upscaling...
Jumping Flash 1 &2 are sime of my faves, along with a little known gem of a spiritual sequel by the same team and on the same engine known as...
Ghost in the Shell
Dooo eeet... Yeah, the animation is jank as all f, but it's still 100% worth it.
youtu.be/F-RyxYcxSQ4?...
There's a VR mod of this and it's something like being a character inside a Monty Oum fever dream. Does the trailer look amazing? Because it's only the smallest tip of the iceberg. Great mod of an already genius work of game art.
Hi Viga, sorry for the tangent: I tried to reach you through IG. I haven't had a chance to do anything about that Yokoso Yoko VHS yet, but stumbled on this and thought you might find it useful if you haven't seen it by now:

everyone in Zeta Gundam: Hey Quattro, you're definitely Char right?
Quattro: If I was Char, wouldn't I pilot a red mobile suit? The Hyaku Shiki is gold.
everyone: fuck, he's right

Just going to leave this one here.
What were you saying? Sorry, I was watching some Nagai Go stuff...
Now they deserve to be skeletonized... ;)
I have one, it scales great as a monster with my figures. I figure it's what a necromancer or such would summon as an approximation of a giant octopus. I actually like the ones that are completely cracked like this, what bugs me are seeing halloween frog skeletons with *rib cages*, lol. Seriously??
Good to know!
Ignore that weird link glitch, sorry
Das Finale still has two more releases left, in fact... But yeah, Der Film is quite possibly now one of my all time favorite anime films, somehow. I'm not saying it's high cinema or such. But up there with Macross, A-ko, and UY for just the pure fun factor and its very rewatchable.
Yeah, I'm not a huge KC guy but like a couple of their standout albums. I'm mostly a Yes fan, so Jon Anderson's vocal on this caught my attention. Prog is definitely an acquired taste, lol.
I need to add this to my queue, don't I?

As for GuP, give it a couple episodes. The first episode did not click for me at all the first time around, but once it finds its pace, the mix of absurdity, increasingly audacious action sequences, deep cut historical and theatrical references and just sheer exuberance becomes infectious.
Actually I feel a but embarrassed I haven't given this album a listen yet even after I did a bit of a dive years ago into Prog history and it features some of my favorite prog artists. Guess that goes in my queue tonight now.
Nice little prog ditty.
I Korean (I think?) artist did this amazing 3d print of one of the robot I designed at Respawn -just amazingπ
I despise that "aesthetic" even more than the writing. Especially the way they animated the transformations. Everything cool and elegant about Japanese robot design and clever engineering out the window. I get the logic behind it to a certain extent, but it's so overdesigned and fugly.
I couldn't get into this series at all, but I did really like their Transwhoremers episode back in the day.
Nude Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy in his role as Interim NASA Administrator, supervising the transportation of nuclear waste on the moon.
I recently started digging into Ideon... XD
I need to get back to this one. Did you ever try GuP?
I think that was an attempt to make them look something like the vintage Time Traveler, especially the chestplate. As it is, Acroyear, Biotron and Karza are the original Mego designs. It was weird as it was tied in with the IDW comic, which different in turn, other than having Phenelo Phi.
...funny how that works. Anything that is just a one button text prompt with no actual human artistic guidance or talent directing and critiquing it will inevitably yield "machine-smarts" results.
