like. probably an over-broad statement but i'm begging folks to practice sitting quietly with their reactions to art/ideas. why do you feel this way? could it mean something more or less or different than what you think? is your experience universal? is vocalizing your thoughts constructive or kind?

my take of the day is that all fiction, no matter how down to earth and realistic and etc etc, is to some extent allegorical and if you can't grasp that the things that are happening are not literally happening, but rather happening so you feel or think something, you shouldn't even be discussing it
