I am so relieved the Flyers fired Tortorella. His coaching strategies and mindset were an active detriment to the future of the team and the game at large. I hope the Flyers hire a young coach who believes in exciting hockey and the young players he coaches

It's grim to have a poorly performing team with nothing to soothe the ache of tanking except tenuous dream of a better future in some distant amount of time. You need lovable characters that keep fans and key players (especially star rookies) engaged and hopeful

See, this is why it's important to have locker room and community involvement guys during a tank. Not just for rebuilding with a foundation of good culture, you need to keep the morale up off the ice during the lows
