That's craaazy, Inspidea (animation studio that worked on LMK S5) also worked on Combo Niños. I remember almost nothing about it except that it was MY SHIT as a kid, I loved the art. And the same two guys still own the studio over 17 years. Nuts.
LMAAO the site is pretty alive, my feed is p lively on my main. But fandom spaces are WAY smaller than on twitter, I'm guessing mostly bc of reliance on twitter's algo for discovery. Since there just browsing For You brings fndom stuff to the door, it's a bottleneck that here you have to look for it
One of these days I'll figure out how to work with bluesky's layout. Hope it happens soon. I might repost the previous redraw batch soonish, because at least mushing them into one image is a little less unbearable to look at than the current miniature preview monstrosity

Macaque got away with it. He always gets away. Ominous black-and-orange aside
MK's crying at the end because he kinda didn't guarantee anything. Whatever 'opening the cage' means is very very bad and wouldn't be a threat if he'd done his due and died. But what matters is that he'll deal with it when it comes time to do it; his friends will watch fireworks with him meanwhile
Yeah maybe everything would be better if you were dead, but you want to live don't you? Just make up for being alive by doing good and maybe you'll get to enjoy living, while the world keeps spinning as if regardless.
...and both times it just has the answer be "Risk dooming the world! You'll figure it out later, don't worry!" Which I think is kinda nice, in an "OCD coping mechanism" way.
I'm a little enamored by this one parallel I think lmk traced of one monkey hearing “You’ll get to live, you just need to {doom the world}” and another monkey hearing “You’ll save the world, you just need to lay down your life” which is basically just the same thing twice...
Not even the adorable successor is exempt from his sassiness... -‿-
