The year has somehow almost passed. I've been crocheting and watching a lot of hockey and basically just being sick or anxious this year, but I also did some stuff I'm proud of. My first two markets (made a profit at both), as well as other times getting out of the house. 🖕 agoraphobia 😇

Also, it is an utter shame that the films didn't incorporate music for a world created by music and so full of it. I do get it, it wasn't the same genre, really. But stillllll.
I'm reading and mostly listening to the lotr (I started with The Hobbit), and I'm thoroughly enjoying fellowship. This is one of my favorite kinds of fantasy novels. I love getting lost in them, love the slower pacing that really lets me sink into the world and the characters. The audiobooks are a+

The media has focused on wealthy, White neighborhoods. But the fire in Altadena--a racially and economically diverse suburb--deserves more attention, because insurance may not cover their rebuilding costs, forcing families out and leading the neighborhood to gentrify.

The fires around LA make me so sad, but people laughing and saying "burn it all down" are making me even more sad. These are humans and animals, real people. It isn't even just the rich or celebrities y'all hate so much, it's people who are losing their whole lives.
Don't forget about the ones still recovering from hurricane Helene and being hit with this. But climate change isn't real, right? 🙄
