Put drug overdose kits on the street to save homeless people's lives
The Salvation Army has called for naloxone to be made widely available in public places to prevent drug deaths and save lives
www.bigissue.com/news/housing...
Our team were in Westminster this week teaching MPs to use naloxone. (and hopefully educating, advocating and pushing for our policy calls...). Nice to be meeting need and pushing for societal change at the same time.

Does anyone know if there are any 'letters of comfort' around crack pipes / safer inhalation devices in the UK?
I'd had heard of them in Devon and Cardiff. But I'm hearing now the home office may have withdrawn these? Anyone heard similar?
Thanks!

I think we just get complacent when we're winning or playing a poor team. Couldn't believe how little pressing was going on at the start of the second half. We just sat back and let them come to us. I'm no expert really, but it's a really obvious difference to when we're really going for it.

It had your usual dose of realism but also felt like a bit of a call to action which was helpful. Take it easy.

Thanks @euanlawson.social for this:
"We might be standing on the threshold, wide-eyed with horror in a liminal space, but we're not helpless either & that is, perhaps, where the hope lies. Whatever your cause, there is no final fateful diagnosis already encoded. We can organise. And we can resist."

@thesalvationarmy.bsky.social had a number of naloxone policy calls to government. Sounds like this would be a good one!

Can it really be true than only four nhs trusts in England have access to take home naloxone for use on discharge?? Thatβs extraordinary! Thanks for the presentation Ben.

Too many examples of practices asking βAre you registered?β And if the answer is no thatβs the end of the road. Patient could be bleeding to death, no attempt to triage for urgency. Not good enough. #inclusionhealth2025
