Ancient, gnarled trees spread their wide-reaching crowns across the pale grass, their trunks dark and heavy with years, their branch tips just beginning to stir with the first tentative blossoms. At the heart of the scene, the rising sun slips through the silhouette of the central tree, sending sharp golden rays radiating outward in a starburst. The low morning light sweeps across the ground in long, warm strokes, turning the dry winter grasses to amber and giving the scenery a soft luminosity. The sky is a rich, cloudless blue interrupted only by the faintest brushstroke of high cirrus clouds. In the distance, the rows of trees dissolve into a gentle morning haze, giving the landscape both depth and an air of dreamy stillness.
