Some faith restored: Last week a close family member had a heart attack, from opening their eyes saying ‘you better call an ambulance’ at 12.30am to being transferred to a ward bed it was around 1.5 hours. Thank you to London Ambulance Service and The Royal Free NHS for such a quick response ❤️ NHS

Happy new year all - it’s a little late as both myself and my wife Kate 🏳️‍🌈 took some time out to spend new year with my parents in #Funchal #Madeira. The hardest part is saying goodbye and not knowing whether one of them or both will still be around next new year. For now I am back in the UK ❤️🙏🏽

Happy Christmas to those who celebrate and happy holidays to all that don’t. Ironically by bad arm means I haven’t been able to reach up to tree to put decorations and I haven’t ice skated in years due to my broken talus but these cartoons are too cute #Christmas #Xmas2024 #Disability won’t stop us

After slipping in bath and fracturing my shoulder… I wouldn’t risk it without grips!

I went from removing a little damp plaster to removing the two tiles where the grout was cracked and the shower screen. Looks simple but it’s taken 4 weeks and others help to dry it out, scrape out old silicon, remove old plaster etc whilst killing off mould (I have asthma hence the mask)

I went to scrape a little bubbling of paint off the wall and next thing I know I have scraped out a big damp square of plaster - whoops

Before I would have taken a few days to get this far not nearly 5 weeks 💔 the arm injury and my back problem have made it very slow and pain meant I needed help too. But we are getting there #DIYW

Stone coloured tiles in bathroom at the end of the bath. With two feet with yellow hospital socks as they are great for grip. Having fallen in bath this year I am being extra careful so sat in bath to do this little job. Had help to get in so need a little rest before I get out… hence am laying down!

I think it’s time I start talking about ‘Do it your way’ #DIYW here 🛠️🪚🪛🧰

For those who don’t know it’s about doing #DIY with #disability ♿️

Having a fractured shoulder had put a stop to me being able to try but finally today I was able to put two tiles back up!
