Just looked it up and turns out it’s on Prime and Tubi, here in the UK.

I’m glad someone said it.
Also, I don’t know if it was a typo, but calling him Kyle instead of Kylo really made me giggle 😂
At my job as stage crew tech, I often jest that, “There are worst ways to make money”.
But getting paid to watch, write and talk about movies? I can’t think of a better way to make money, short of making money by making movies.
Probably the reason why it decreased
Man, reading those screenshots just made me feel queasy, at the thought that there are people out there who would view that as a good thing.
“Want to see Marilyn Monroe in Game of Thrones?”
This was one of those movies that felt like it was written about me, for me.
Just a very, deeply and touching film.
Oh, in breakneck, whiplash inducing, record time.
“Enjoy it while it lasts” will turn into, “Hey, remember that one singular year where video game movies got the auteur treatment and were approached as actual artistic endeavours worthy of merit?”
I’ve been playing through the remake of Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, which has left me in the mood for Bond movies (Kojima was very influenced by Bond for MGS).
Went on MGM+ (which I pay for through Prime) … only to find none of the Bond films are on there.
If this leads to the video game movie boom (like what happened to comic book movies), the conversations around those movies are gonna be so much more obnoxiously volatile.
Video game fans can be even more prickly and pigheaded than comic book fans
Late to the party, but I finally decided to check out DC’s Absolute line.
Started reading Absolute Superman now.
I might be jumping the gun, but halfway through issue 1.
This is shaping up to be one of all time my favourite interpretations of Superman.
Finally getting around to seeing Christopher Nolan’s Tenet for the first time tonight, because the Odeon’s decided to show it.
Never got a chance to see it the first time around so this will be exciting.
“I’ve never been satisfied with a movie we released”
Yeah, you fuckin shouldn’t be
“For the first time in decades, Superman has a heart”
The fuck are you talking about?
1. The Superman movies we had over the past decade had a ton of heart.
2. Where is the heart in this one? Empty, shallow & vapid childish tantrums about “hope” =/= heart.
“We didn’t [just] want to put a leather outfit on him and have him start killing vampires”
With each passing second, this comment I saw earlier gets funnier and funnier.
This point is especially wild to make considering that Gunn just released a movie that endorses the Great Replacement Theory.
“Dying on the hill of hating James Gunn - who is undeniably a much better filmmaker than Zack Snyder”
You know how you can tell that someone got all their opinions from YouTube?
Gunn’s body of work is the real life equivalent of Patrick nailing a board to his head.
“No one but losers who have decided to make a handful of shitty movies their entire identity talk about that movie at all. No one else cares.”
That’s why everyone, fans & non fans, spent the lead up to Gunn’s Superman movie talking about Man of Steel at every turn.
I feel that.
Was so excited for it, and I have yet to watch Part 2 and the director’s cuts of each.
The PG cut of Part 1 left me feeling a bit like,
Someone please tell me what was exactly “hopeful” about that trailer?
Superman just casually sitting, having a heart to heart with Lois, while Metropolis gets destroyed in the background?
So hopeful! 🙄
Rational discussion, interesting analysis & actually engaging with Snyder’s work to see what it was doing and why, rather than dismissing it for not doing what people wanted it to do?
Damn … maybe Bluesky really is better than the bird app.
Great little thread, btw. Check it out.
“we recognize that many parents would prefer to discuss certain subjects with their children on their own terms and timeline”
So … basically never, right?
God forbid many parents do the job they signed up for.
I’ve tried both.
Gum definitely helped as well. Mostly the same effect.
Downside of the gum was that all that chewing just made me hungrier 😂
Out of the two, the toothpick helped me more, but that’s also because I’m a fidgety person.
I’d say the gum is worth a try.
Was about to say this. When I quit smoking, having a toothpick in my mouth is the thing that helped fight off the craving the most.
This is something I’ve found myself wondering about.
Because I see something similar, over social media, where people complain about sympathetic, developed & morally complex villains and would rather have one note, paper thin “pure” evil villains and …
I don’t get it. What’s the appeal?
I have been trying to find this photo for so long, so thanks for posting it on here 🤣
