A nice top up of snow to finish off March! While #Calgary still had less snowfall than usual, last weekend's 10 cm provided a welcome boost. March and April are typically our snowiest months, and with heavy snow in the forecast over the next 48 hours, winter isn't done just yet.
Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday, which means you may want to set your clocks AHEAD one hour on Saturday night. The good news is that the Spring Equinox is around the corner (Mar 20), and that means we'll be enjoying more daylight than darkness! #Calgary
Here's some interesting data released today by ECCC regarding this past winter season in AB.
#Calgary had its 4th driest winter on record with only 29% of our normal precip.
There's still a chance to top up before the growing season, as March + April are usually our snowiest months of the year.
Despite a warm end, February was a cold month for #Calgary, with most of the snowfall at the beginning of the month.
