New preprint out!
In this study, we introduce NanoFLex, a strategy that combines #HaloTag variants with #nanobodies -based immunolabeling to enable rapid, OneStep-IF #lifetime #multiplexing. Possible due to SmartSecondaries fused to #HaloTag from @nanotag.bsky.social: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
Delighted to share our latest preprint "Filopodia-mediated trans-endocytosis"

Work driven by many people including Hanna, Marcela, Sujan, Marie-Catherine, Anna and Monika. Fantastic collaboration with Johanna Englund, Emilia Peuhu, and Eija Jokitalo
🧪🧬 New preprint!
What if the same biosensor could reveal how cysteine is regulated across life domains?
We introduce Cystector, a genetically encoded fluorescent biosensor for real-time cysteine monitoring in living cells.

Last project of the year: self blinking JF635 + lattice light sheet + #BigVolumeBrowser to deskew both volume and localization data (and render)
@zeiss-microscopy.bsky.social
Let us know if your computer survived the cleaning process 😉. Mine will need this.
We also tried it recently and indeed, it blinks nicely without any smelly buffers or extra stuff added. Makes SMLM sample preparation a breeze. I hope soon new additional colors will be discovered, apart from the far red.
🎄 A glimpse into #NanoTag Christmas dinner - Glühwein outdoors, a shared dinner, and Schrottwichteln 🎁♻️ where funny, used items are exchanged and find a new home. The past year has been special for us as we celebrate 10 years. Grateful for our team, customers, and partners.
Here’s to what’s next 🥂
Self-blinking dye restores efficient use of nanobodies in single-molecule localization microscopy. Link ot he @biorxivpreprint.bsky.social is here: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
Fantastic teamwork: @samratb.bsky.social, Kaushik Inamdar, Yoav Pollack, Laszlo Albert, Daniel Jans, Stefan Jakobs, @joergenderlein.bsky.social and @romantsukanov.bsky.social
JF635b-nanobodies are now commercially available via @nanotag.bsky.social.
✨ Blinking #nanobodies that work for single-molecule localization 🔬
Our new preprint shows that the self-blinking dye JF635b restores robust, buffer-free blinking in #nanobodies, enabling reliable #dSTORM, #MINFLUX, and more, without chemical-switching buffers. Opening new possibilities for #ExM!
Microtubule Organizing Centers of America (MTOCsA), sorry, not funny.
Happy to tell that I got my tenured professorship at the University Medical Center in Göttingen 🇩🇪!
Grateful for my students, mentors, international collaborators, the @nanotag.bsky.social team, and my family (dog included 🐾). Motivated to keep pushing science, innovation, startups, and education 🌍✨

🔬Wrapping up #SMLMS2025 @smlm-symposium.bsky.social in Bonn! Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth!
It was great connecting and sharing how our #sdAb-based solutions enhance precision, simplify #Multiplexing, and streamline workflows in #SuperResolution microscopy.
See you next year! 🦙
Out today in @nature.com: Together with the Honigmann, Shevchenko, Drobot and Hof labs, we present a general workflow for imaging the localization and transport of individual lipids in cells and mapping their metabolism.

🧬 New paper out! We explored why #antibodies have kept their 2 binding sites. Turns out, this “divalence” is crucial for B-cell receptors to sense antigen clustering and trigger immune responses, especially for weak or low-density antigens.

Yes, it might be that in some synaptic type, other synaptotagmin isoforms are more dominant, but it is far from demonstrated that there is NO Syt1 in such synapses...
