Northern lights in greens and reds over the roof of a house
It was cold outside so I just grabbed a quick photo of the northern lights. Hopefully I can get out tonight to see them again.

I’ve caught myself doing things more cautiously lately (walking down stairs, driving, whatever) because I’m determined to outlive that fucker by at least one day.
Ok, I’ve spent the past few months crashing out over everything happening in the world, but I’m slowly making my way back up for air.

I live in a very small rural town in deep red ND. There was a No Kings protest in my town and we had quite a large turnout. The result of the protest here is that people who have been silent are no longer afraid to stand up and start organizing for change.
Simon, a deaf long-haired white cat, sits on a windowsill looking out of an open window as colorful fireworks light up the night sky. Sheer patterned curtains are pulled to the sides, framing the view.
Ugh, more fireworks tonight. Simon couldn’t be happier though

Three of the cats are tucked away in a quiet spot, while Simon, my deaf cat, is living his best life watching the sky.
