A vibrant scientific community would share this video everywhere. It would engage deeply with its devastating implications and meaningfully discuss alternatives to animal testing.
But instead we scientists are a bunch of cowards, afraid to rock the boat, indoctrinated to rationalize the status quo.
Gorgeous - and I can almost smell that high desert as I watch this!
I recommend buying Carl a coffee every month: you can set it up on ko-fi so that it happens automatically every month. Well worth it as a small thank you for getting to see Carl's photos!
He does indeed!

Excellent finger nails!

I'd send you one of my mine but I'm over in the UK at my Mum's at the moment so can't join in - we do have a massive number of books at home though!
Not long now!
Another Common Kingfisher (my favourite bird) - I followed it along the Leeds Liverpool Canal to the River Aire in Yorkshire.
This is fabulous!
Gorgeous photo, but a shame about the loss of the boats.
I spent a few hours at Walthamstow Wetlands a few days ago and one of the kingfishers was very kind and allowed me to get this photo.
