Oh my God finally something good. Had my consult this morning with my "2nd opinion" spinal surgeon. He agreed that this is fucked and I will end up paralyzed if everything is left as it is. Surgery in a few weeks. Aaaah!!!

Four years ago I woke up at 5 am from distant explosions. I asked my boyfriend if he heard them too, he said he didn’t and I should go back to sleep. I tried to calm myself down, went on the internet, it was silent, no news or explanations.

Just got the call that father-in-law has gone septic. We'll know within a few hours if it's the type they can treat I guess? Not getting clear info from family. Uuugh. I hate this.

You may think that the first Lean Cuisine of the evening is the most satisfying, but I often find it's the third or the fourth.

Fever. Father-in-law put on ventilator. Everything sucks. Sorry for all the doom and gloom lately. Things will eventually cheer up, but I don't see a very happy road ahead in the next few weeks.

Finally finished this up! It's done in watercolor, gouache, and color pencils. I know I should try to render it in more detail but I'm not sure I want to. I like the texture being able to be textures. Maybe that will change in the future. For now, though, I like it 😅

And that was all of the first two weeks of February. Now he's gone from the rehab place BACK to ICU care with RSV infection, pneumonia, and possible CHF.

Needless to say my husband has been a wreck. I'm doing my best to support him but with my own ailing health, it's hard.

Still playing the 'wait and see' game with my father-in-law. This has been the most stressful few moths imaginable. He's gone from "investigational procedure", to next-day-quad-bypass, to emergency nah no bypass due to porcelain aorta, to INFECTION!! to rehab to unstable oxygen/blood pressure...

My new keyboard came in and now I apparently need to relearn how to type. First mechanical keyboard ever and oof. All the keys sit SO HIGH omgggg.

BUT it's pink and lights up rainbow and my case will be here Thursday and then I CAN USE MY HEADPHONES AGAIN without tape and jury rigging them!
