I tried once but couldn't sort out the logic and it kept doing weird things when going from one painting to another. I should give it another try though because that would great to see.

Dust.
Exploring subtle installation experiences. Always loved seeing dust motes floating in sun beams so I decided to try and reproduce that experience in TouchDesigner using Josef Pelz's T3D (Texture 3D operators) as well as PCR (Point Cloud Rendering) for GLSL bokeh effects.
Further prototyping of Infinite Frames.
Using an ESP32 Feather V2 and a BNO08x 9-dof sensor as a virtual flashlight.

Pure R&D, with a focus on novel and evocative lighting. It's more about the mood than the clarity of the framed image (for now). Video coming in the next day or two.

Update with better lighting. Cranked up the speed too for extra nausea.
* Runs at 60fps
* Subdivision logic is handled in Python
* Webcam input is used as a super subtle glass reflection
* Using MidJourney AI images for the content because of convenience only, this is not an attempt to showcase gen AI outputs. I needed 256 images that were thematically related.
Real-time prototype of my "Infinite Frames" Houdini setup. Ever since I first made it, I wanted to see it run at interactive framerates. #TouchDesigner makes it really easy to do initial prototyping and look-dev for interactive projects we will build out in Cinder C++.
I know, right??? And they borked it at some point because now it doesn't even seem to react to music anymore. It's definitely worse than it used to be.
Magnetosphere 2.0 dev/design update.
60fps, 3440x1440 output (resized for social posts), 1,000,000+ particles, audio reactive.

I appreciate it David. I hope it wasn't too existential-crisis-y :)

I want nothing more! It's been nearly 20 years... Time for an update!
If you are keeping data of what people searched for, I was the one responsible for "male frontal, full peen".
If youβve followed me on other platforms ( π€’ ) you might know Iβve spent the last few years doing computational cinema / edit understanding.
Iβm happy to say weβve got the first public live narrative search engine for film and tv!
Itβs early days. But check it out!

Black definitely.
Wait, actually white is great.
No, black for sure.
Hmmm, white is lovely too.
Ok, I'm 53% on the side of black, 47% white.
I'm in Toronto for a conference. Watched locals watch the results as they came in. Very happy for them!

I wrote a little primer on rigid body dynamics in Houdini after seeing a lot of similar questions online. Bullet is a pretty deep rabbit hole to fall into and there's a lot of legacy stuff that's very confusing for new artists... hopefully this helps you get started!

Reminder to creatives (or anyone, really):
If someone reaches out because they want to interview you, and they are asking you to download a specific app to conduct the interview, it is probably a scam.
I have had 3 attempts since January 2025.
Do your research and check credentials.
I should mention, I didn't take the photo. It was on Reddit but the OP deleted their account so I can't credit them. The only photo I have of it is back before decent camera-phones.
My favorite tower! Especially loved seeing the ghost pirate ship when the fog is particularly dense:

Where else should I go in 2025?
Hey, thanks! Im glad you like it. I'm going to be revisiting that piece after I get back from Paradiso Fest in mid-March, and plan on doing a limited release print series (on glossy paper π). I looking forward to digging back into that series.
A promotional graphic for the exhibition "Compositions in Code: The Art of Processing and p5.js" at the Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI), opening on March 6, 2025. The background features a generative art-style digital landscape with jagged, wireframe-like mountains in shades of blue and purple against a bright pink sky. The exhibition title appears in large white text at the top, with the subtitle "The Art of Processing and p5.js" in smaller font below. The names of featured artistsβMarius Watz / Aleksandra JovaniΔ, LIA / Sarah Ridgley, and Robert Hodgin / Melissa Wiederrechtβare centered in white text. At the bottom, logos for MoMI, Tezos, and the Processing Foundation indicate the eventβs co-presenters.

It feels so instructional, like it's an intuitive diagram of how waves work. I love it. I want it as a desk toy.
