hoping ATOM wet your whistle a bit for MoQT.

i dabbled a little with writing a MoQT server and found it so easy, the group/object idea is so powerful, and adding an extension to add some metadata to objects was so easy. everything made so much sense.

hoping maybe s2pa / muxl can fit nicely!

i saw you looking at ATOM,

not to pour on a million other degrees of complexity, but... i'd love to make sure s2pa and/or muxl to nicely with regular MoQT too. have you looked at those at all?

kixelated is _super_ responsive on discord, fwiw; nice guy.

I do want to note that AMD was able to semi easily pack a Strix Halo, that it was nearly a launch device, in tablet form.

A lot of people thinking X2EE isn't going to work on a tablet. Which seems ridiculous. Is your scale down that bad? AMD gets absurdly efficient at low TDP. You??

That's maybe a little too far for me, but man, the people we have allied with sure are waste-landing the earth as hard as they can, it seems like. I recognize both the non-legality of what the USA is doing, but also, Iran especially has been a shit. Feels so f-ed doing it post-uprise.

i also have these old i5-7200u oled tablets that are just sitting here.

my main one, that was a workstation for years, is only 4gb. with sata ssd. but for terminalling home so what? but can i web browse on it? maybe?

i want solid touch/pen linux experience! must do!!

i need to stop wasting time looking at ebay, mostly. bah.

seeing the z13 and knowing how stupid it would be to spend that money on what is actually a super super smart buy kind of immunizes me against buying some lesser item.

damn you can strix halo for that price? uh yes please!

i want to live in the world where qualcomm drops a sick X2 Elite Extreme tablet, that runs a good Linux, that doesn't cost a million dollars. i mean, cmon, that's 1 good chip & some ram. 48GB good enough!

but it seems _so_ unlikely all these aspects are going to line up.

gpd pocket 4, 7" convertible 2-in-1, so neat & small, but too small & $1300 too much

onexplayer x1 pro, 11 touchscreen, but also too expensive

lattitude 7350 (mere intel 164u) much slower but tempting, ~$1k

all are expensive enough to be un-justifiable. perhaps some 7840U-ish thing though?

i do not have random money like this to throw around but man, in my quest to get a _nice_ tablet x workstation, the Asus ROG Flow Z13 with Strix Halo is just not _that_ much more expensive than alternatives (used). and with absurd ram.

wake me 9 months after medusa halo tablets drop.

i assumed there were like all the videos games streaming to twitch but it's really a pretty limited supply eh?

thought that MENACE would be super back-seat watchable, but there's just not a ton of people streaming stuff.

i really want to see people see how far they can get 3d printing some nice sailing pulleys quasi-like this.

quasi-like because no it would not be good enough to use sailing. probably. but the design challenge of seeing what you can do is interesting. nice modular-use design-inspiration here too.

Ok so that drawing is not just through mountains but also 100mi.

But another cut through isn't beyond all possibility. Ala Stad Ship Tunnel, going 2km straight through mountains.

All to avoid a (ornery) horn point though? Meh.

SAVE ACT telling states how to hold their voting is treachery, is overreach that validates a sedition against the presence of a federal government. it is intolerable.

no excuse mail-in voting is our choice to make, not yours.
