Reminds me of 2008 when gas went up over $4. Everyone was so relieved when it went down to $2-3 that no one ever made a big deal of now gas was less than $2 before. Covid was the only time we saw pre 2008 gas prices.

The eggs I used to by have went down to 24.99 (highest 29.99). Last summer I was able to buy these eggs for 9.99. 😑

My mother’s medical equipment increased utilities to $400-600 a month depending on the time of year. She received $300 a month through a Medicaid program to use towards food, utilities, medical supplies that I put towards her bill. I can’t believe people voted for this.

It’s insane how so many people believe most federal employees are sitting at cozy desks on social media all day.

Tomorrow will be my second week back at work. I work for a government contractor but I speak with a lot of federal workers on remote sites who barely have decent internet. These folks are not thinking about checking emails everyday bc it’s an inconvenience and unnecessary.

I’ve only 🤮 twice in my life. I hate that feeling so I try to stay below the limit when I indulge. The first time was from Pinnacle Vodka and the second was some mystery alcohol from a house party where a band was playing in the living room. 😩 . I haven’t had Pinnacle since 2009.

Yesterday, I took a bite of seafood salad that I made which had shrimp, crab meat and scallops. Whyyyy did my throat and chest start getting tight? It happened off and on until I decided to take Benadryl. 😩 Who starts having allergic reactions at damn near 40?

I took an allergy test a year ago and the results showed a slight reaction to shrimp. I’ve been eating shrimp my whole life. I’m from the city where stopping at The Wharf was a weekly activity when I was a kid.

I peak in on the conservative Reddit occasionally and there is an ungodly amount of extremism going on there. Being upset about what this guy did to the point of wanting to hurt him is just as extreme but on the other end of the spectrum.

I understand your pain and I feel for the people in Palestine but there is so much genocide going on in the world (Sudan, Congo..etc) and unfortunately it may always be that way. Minorities and women are losing rights in the US. Give people a break.
