Some wildcards further down in the system that could take noticeable steps forward: Devin Futrell, Sadbiel Delzine, Brady Tygart, Brandon Neely, Shea Sprague, Yermain Ruiz, Alex Bouchard, Jose Bello.
Marcus Phillips, Kyson Witherspoon, Anthony Eyanson, and Jake Bennett all very interesting as well. Juan Valera a bit further away but if healthy could move quickly.
Payton Tolle has the higher ceiling; Connelly Early has the higher floor. Both are likely to be quality major league pitchers and easily the two Red Sox pitching prospects I'm most eager to follow this year.
New pod where we talk about the Mets and also softball in West Senegal with my buddy Adam from New York.
Cooked him!
Seriously though, what a moron.
Yeah, can't tell you his reasoning. I will say, it's a much smaller audience but it's a much more pleasant one.
I told him this and he said that BlueSky has somehow managed to be worse than Twitter so he is not interested. Alas.
Very inexpensive deal ($1 million with up to $2 million in incentives) on a solid veteran who can still do plenty well.
What are your biggest questions regarding the 2026 Boston Red Sox?
Meanwhile in the group chat.
Rest in peace long-time umpire Bruce Froemming, the third man in the ring when Jason Varitek told A-Rod the Red Sox don’t hit .260 hitters.
You probably know what happened next.
What Red Sox accounts should I be following here?
I wonder if today will be the day that Zack Littell, Lucas Giolito, or Danny Coulombe sign.

Everything I know about Wisconsin comes from the graphic novel "Blankets". Based on that, I assume it's going to be more snow than is safe or reasonable.
We're getting fake spring tomorrow. 50 degree. Then more snow. Very cool New England, love when you go full Jumanji on the weather.
Did a White Sox 2026 preview with my awesome buddy @chrystalok.bsky.social. Check it out in the link.

"I am going to have a chip on my shoulder like I have something to prove, and I think people will notice that."
Marcus Phillips talks to SoxProspects.com feature writer @byAndrewParker to detail the expectations he has set for himself in his first Spring Training with the Red Sox.

Removing ball/strike information so that players don't get ball/strike "intel" is one of the stupid ideas I've ever heard. The point of ABS is to get the goddamn balls and strikes right, not to have getting accurate umpiring become an idiotic minigame. This is smoothbrain dumbfuckery.
Just the absolute worst to ever do it when it comes to messaging.
