That’s why we all need to hope Amorim can get to the end of the season - so we can get the best candidate out there, not just the one that’s available. Results will have to improve for that to happen though.

Always felt this game was the litmus test this season. Comprehensively failed.

Performances this season have consistently been better than results. The data backs that up. I don’t know why it’s not translating. A lack of confidence? A losing habit? If the aim this season is to finish around 6th then losing to City, while painful, isn’t the end of the world.

Mate. If the players continually get into good positions with plenty of men in the box and then do FA with it - it ain’t the tactics that’s the problem.

#MUFC get into promising positions about 30 times per game and yet almost never create a decent chance, let alone score a goal. Hard to understand with so much talent on the pitch… and nothing to do with the system.

I think it’s definitely a nice balance of profiles. Whether Kone can do it at the top level remains to be seen - fingers crossed. Mainoo and Baleba could definitely be our next title winning midfield though!

I think he’s the successor to Bruno. He’s still so young. A season, even two, developing under Bruno will do him no harm at all.

We agreed a deal with Brentford and then they said they wanted more. If necessary, walk away, spend the money elsewhere, and then come back for Mbuemo next summer when he has one year left on his contract and we hold all the cards. Amad and Bruno are not bad options next to Cunha.

It’s still early in the window. I’m pleased the club is not capitulating in negotiations. I still believe we will end up with an entirely new front 3 by the end of the window - no small thing. We are limited due to PSR and can’t sell players due to mistakes of the past. It will take time to fix.

Timing also a factor. If we have any chance of signing Gyokeres and Mbeumo we need act fast which means we need the money quickly. The only way we get money quickly is to do this deal for Bruno. The other sales will take time.

I get the frustration but PSR is the reason we can’t sign players (without selling / becoming more profitable). My understanding is that a new stadium is not subject to PSR so could be financed without impacting the playing side.

I just don’t understand why the gov doesn’t provide proper easy-access safe routes? Why are they never questioned about this? Small boat numbers would go down which would be a huge win for gov. While claims could be processed more efficiently. Seems a no-brainier?
