Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.
I'm primarily referring to the handhelds running SteamOS or other Linux based OSs like the steamdeck or the ones running Bazzite. Even keeping this in mind, the switch 2 has a much better docking experience, DLSS, and an impossibly good power efficiency to performance ratio.
It does protect you, although very briefly from a government defense perspective. In a normal world, you could defend yourself against a LEO in a legal way and go to court and be found innocent, but I think everyone knows you won't be arrested "peacefully" or get a fair trial even if you do.
I think the PC handheld market definitely raised the standard for what the Switch 2 has to bring to the table, and not for power reasons. I absolutely NEEDED a switch 1 for its portability and BOTW when it launched. I don't really need a switch 2 in the same way for anything...yet.
