One thing to watch about growing companies is is top talent flocking to them? Much like sports franchises everyone wants to join a winning team. And that to me is a virtuous cycle 🔄
Costco could legit charge 100% more for the membership and I’m convinced not one person wouldn’t renew

A better metric for me that’s proven to work is consistent high ROIC and ROCE and the popularity of the brand or service - easy

When you find a “cheap” company the most important question to ask is why????
That’s a fair point about the percentage of the portfolio - I think many retail investors are unfortunately not thinking that way
The idea of house money when investing blows my mind
I understand the math - it’s not that deep but the idea that any of my $ is house money simply because it was made on an investment rather than a 9-5 is crazy

In May we liquidated some BTC to purchase a STR. We had to pay pretty big capital gains on the BTC which sucked. We’ve had the STR for a season. I can confidently say that l hate doing it
Considering we have now entered a BTC bull market I can also confidently say mistakes were probably made 🥹🥹
