Can't afford shoes/a coat? Can't afford a passport.

Rural/no car? Major hurdle.

No documents? Can't read? Huge roadblock.

There would have to be community organizations/donations.

A LOT of folks in this country are uneducated and living in poverty.

Not when poverty is your reality. If you can't afford to have food in your fridge, you can't afford a passport. Sure, poverty mindset is a real thing. But when your reality is poverty, you are just in survival mode. Passports ain't gonna be on their wish list.

I spent years working with the children of this group of MAGA voters. Their parents can't afford shoes, let alone a passport.
