He had Aaron Darnold and peak Jalen Ramsey with the rams. With the chargers he over complicated thing and tried to force the players to play a scheme that wasn’t to their strengths. I’m not saying he’s a bad coach but he needs to learn from those mistakes to be a good coach.
I honestly think this is really smart. Staley can help Kellen navigate the mistakes he made as a new HC and bring the Fangio defense with him. I just hope Staley learned his lesson that the scheme should fit the players and not the other way around.
There is no way that Joe Hortiz is giving up that much in a trade to move up 8 spots. Especially with there draft and free agency success last season.

Chargers RB Gus Edwards has a 50.7% rushing success rate. For context Josh Jacobs is 50.7%, James Connor is 50.8%, and Aaron Jones is 50.5%. JK Dobbins 40.5. He is doing this with a measly 1.3 yards before contact. What I’m saying is…screw the blocking just let the Gus Bus run people the fuck over!

I hear you. But I have a feeling Hortiz has seen how hard it is to find a good WR in the draft in late picks with his time with the Ravens. He might justify the cap space. If they sign Tee to a 3-4 year deal then the WR room is set up for the next 3 years and they can focus draft resources elsewhere
IMO Tee Higgins isn’t your typical boundary WR. If he was on any other team but the bengals they aren’t letting him hit FA. They still might not.

That’s crazy talk. He had to be near perfect in the first half. Then had 3-4 drives of playing conservatively before adjusting to win the game. He must have got dinged pretty hard for the fumble.
The run was noticeably worse then it was week 10. This needs to be more consistent as cold weather approaches.
I would be interested if you think it was impacted more by personnel at RG or game scripting.
