Even before mail-in was widely used in CA, every registered voter received a sample ballot weeks in advance. We could fill it out at home and then just transfer the choices onto an official ballot on Election Day. Also, it tells you the address of your polling place.

Mail in voting=being able to research your ballot at your own convenience. It's a glorious thing. All Americans should want mail in voting.

Vote in early voting. You have two weeks, seven days a week, and can go to any polling station.

Texans have been hollering about voter suppression. My county has 3 voting polls open today. 2 are small churches, the other is near the military base. One is in a 1k pop town 40 miles away from the other two. The 100k college town 20 miles from each polling place has no polling place open today.

My friend has a great thread on women’s rights. He provided some insightful articles to help us understand what happened then and ultimately why we still see this in play today. It is hard to fathom how one woman could be so opposed to other women having the same rights as men. Yet it continues.
