Well. Itβs refreshing to see that a study mentions C19 illness amongst the possible causes.
Studies have been pointing to pathological mechanisms for directly affecting executive function for a while now. So itβs not just illness causing lost hours.
Hereβs the February 2026 update I just sent to my GitHub Sponsors.
I continued to share results from these projects, here and on other social media platforms

The biggest scandal of all is that we still have the Tory guidance in place and staff still have no ffp3 respirators for an airborne virus that is vascular in nature and can cause heart damage & blood clots.
Also, there was a move away from doing PCR altogether, and using RATs.
Agree. Strain and host dependent. Lots of studies of older strains in countries with border quarantine and asymptomatic testing/screening. However, I havenβt seen a study on this for some time, Iβm guessing because exposure opportunities are abundant.

Babies with COVID-19 develop more serious disease than those with RSV, US data reveal
Children under 2 hospitalized for COVID-19 are more likely to die or become seriously ill than babies with RSV, according to a new study.
www.cidrap.umn.edu/c...
Babies with Covid are 7.25 times more likely to die than babies with RSV.
And thatβs only deathβnever mind the chronic impact that can result.
Keep newborns out of public places, if you possibly canβand buy a HEPA filter for your daycare!
"Babies with COVID-19 develop more serious disease than those with RSV, US data reveal."
β’ Hospitalised children under 2 with COVID-19 had higher severe illness risk than RSV
β’ Ventilators: 39% of COVID ICU babies vs 16% with RSV
β’ Deaths: 2.9% COVID vs 0.4% RSV among hospitalised infants
But they are just now discovering it applies to babies tooβ¦

Reasonable price⦠worth the experiment. Might give it a go.
Yeah, sounds about right.
I think it is working as intended. It isnβt that difficult to put guardrails around these models - limits on reduction % or kick out higher range recommendations for human review, bake floors in. I worked on this with risk models. Not that hard - if you care about the end result.
Interesting!
Not forgetting the severe psychological impacts we see.
Humans reduced to various versions of rocking in the corner due to lack of stimulus and companionship.
You might be wondering what an ED doc is doing, commenting on social engineering using automation.
Well.
When it all goes wrong, every problem seems to end in a trip to the emergency system.
Not enough care-> bedsores, aspiration pneumonitis, broken hips etc-> ED

Iβve been shopping online, but they all look boring. Iβd really like one that makes a low pitched click. One you can feel rather than hear.
Ideas welcome.
As has been pointed out by others , difficult to see how this isn't going to end up as another Robodebt-type scandal. It is irreparably harming people. All in the name of saving $$.
Just hear me out on this oneβ¦
Maybe it is working exactly as intended.
What external oversight is there to audit its outputs?
A personal note: My father always went "swimming" the 1st day ice was out, a tradition I joined with him until his passing in 1979. Looks like our pond may melt in the next few days...... Anyone want to join me in jumping in? I love the tradition. And it's quite invigorating!
