Searching back for something in an old email led me to 2007, and my publisher's first (happy response) to reading the 1st draft of Skulduggery book 2. The initial title I had on that?

Afraid not! We were talking about it back in 2019 but then Covid hit, and these days such a huge tour isn't seen as cost-effective by publishers...
Touring Aus/NZ was always a huge and daunting undertaking but I always loved the tours themselves, so it's a real pity.

An easy trap a writer can fall into is writing so much you don’t make time to read (no one wants to reach that Garth Marenghi stage being a writer that has written more books than he’s read) so I’m glad that my year has started off so well.
