25 yrs ago, I was, for a very short while, the only contemporary Black British author pub’d in the US. True &mind blowing story. And it was this book, #orangelaughter, 1st published by ARP, then Anchor, then FSG, then Picador. @faberbooks.bsky.social now republish. Hi, book! Out in the world again 😊

Diced sausages, baked beans, variety of veggies - sweet pepper, tomatoes, onions, all stew down in hot sauce and a tups of BBQ sauce. Add toast, or potato waffles! I do it in batches. Protein and fibre boost and yummy. I alternate this and mango spinach smoothies.

Jellyfish. Stingy yet…lacking substance.

Lamb stew and macaroni cheese. Add fried plantain, cavolo Nero in garlic and cornbread if feeling extra fancy/less tired.

- Are ready for a five week commitment to an online course, including recorded lectures to keep, one 40-minute individual tutorial and lots of tips, tricks and techniques from a writer who has also been a teacher and editor for 30+’years…

The Novel Surgery is for fiction writers who:
- Have written at least 5,000 words of a novel/novella
- Are, variously: blocked or stuck; just fine, but in need of an objective way to assess the work in progress; wanting to work with the support of other writers
