Today is the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine.
They gave their everything to protect Ukraine. They protect the constitution of Ukraine, the land of Ukraine, but most importantly, they protect the Ukrainians. Not only from physical harm, but even more from moral harm.
Mrs Olha attended all prisoner exchanges, hoping that her son Yevhenii, a marine who has been in captivity since April 2022, would return.
Finally, on August 24, Mrs Olha was able to hug her son.
She always brought a vyshyvanka, a Ukrainian embroidered shirt, to the exchanges with her.
