For historical research, anything outside of using it as a search engine (and then actually reading those sources, if they exist) generally creates poor results. We also expect authors to submit their own writing, in their own voice. Our editors can help them polish their writing.

This doesn’t explicitly mention submitting work to history journals, but to be clear, our editorial policy is that articles written using generative AI will not be considered for publication.
