Part of the disconnect is of course that techbros insist that a total revolution in the way that software is made is taking place, but anyone who uses software can observe that software continues to suck more than ever before
A Siamese cat, that's not really trapped, inside two plastic bins. She looks at the camera with a pitiful expression while meowing, one paw is pressed up against the plastic wall.

I haven't had work in months.
I'm a good art director, expert pixel artist, and although I prefer to do art, I can also make entire games from start to finish if necessary, as pictured. Not the greatest coder, but I get the job done (like Chapell Roan I guess).

Watching someone experience the ending to Cookie's Bustle for the first time is wonderful
Every time I'm reminded that Cookie's Bustle had all its 3d art made/rendered in POSER of all things my brain just sort of folds in on itself
Yeah I don't think anyone was happy with that outcome
By the way, this November will be the 10 year anniversary of that game coming out in 1.0 and then gaslamp games shutting down a month later
This is v true but also it's genuinely very funny to read literally 30 mins after digging up an old hard drive containing my personal work folder for Clockwork Empires, a singleplayer game that I worked on for like 5 years which was delisted within 6 months of its release
off-white badge ribbons with black lettering that say βHEY letβs talk about MYSTβ
