"Convicted Felon" should be a courtesy title like "Nurse" or "Professor".

Now that I've fled Leon's site for bluer skies, I'm sure I'll be called an #Ex-X, but personally, I'll always consider myself a #TwitterQuitter.

Given people are actually interacting on here (madness), please could you give me your recommendations for the best legal thrillers (books, film, drama)? I’ve already read/seen loads but I need more.

I'm not quite sure if you're needing a belfry or a batting cage! Depends on the size of the bag, I suppose :)

Anna, I don't see anyone mentioning the many books and short stories of Erle Stanley Gardner, best known for Perry Mason. Love the Cool & Lam series (read the first one first if possible).

Time for my daily overshare!

I was a ghostwriter for a long time. Long enough to have written 20 books no one will ever know came from me.

Today is the first day that I haven’t had an edge of guilt connecting with other writers.

I’m not a fraud. I’m a goddamned published author, & I did it my way

I'm still very lost on here. The poets have organized and gathered, but with my weird threads and random interests on twitter. This starter pack is an attempt to include some of those names, though many are missing. Just a messy attempt.πŸ™

We need a book twitter list too?

Hello friendos

Your librarian here with today's library tip

Check out both the Libby and Hoopla app. Both offer ebooks and e-audiobooks. You don't need a Kindle to use them, you can read or listen on your phone, computer, and are compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Look I’m just a girl with a PhD and some data who testifies to legislative committees full of men who tell me CO2 is plant food and the climate’s always changing and now you want me to stand up for pasteurized milk, Darwin, and the germ theory of disease? Sure. But you’re gonna need more biologists.

I like that people introduce themselves here. I'm an author & journalist in Glasgow. I've written books on graveyards & churches, & am busy writing a new one that I'm looking forward to sharing. I enjoy: standing stones, fallen leaves, old records, old books & an old rabbit of whom I have the care.

A star cluster is shown inside a large nebula of many-coloured gas and dust. The material forms dark ridges and peaks of gas and dust surrounding the cluster, lit on the inner side, while layers of diffuse, translucent clouds blanket over them. Around and within the gas, a huge number of distant galaxies can be seen, some quite large, as well as a few stars nearer to us which are very large and bright.

Mountain-like structures of gas and dust jut upwards into space. Mostly brown with glowing orange regions, these structures narrow as they grow taller, with jets of gas seen at their tips. The nebulous background of space glows in shades of blue and violet, with a few pink stars scattered throughout.

He said to me, β€²β€²no, that's the β€˜friend’s bench.’ When someone is down, they'll sit there so others find them."

I just learned that Goodreads is owned by Jeff Bezos. An alternative is StoryGraph, a Black woman-owned platform (and yes it's really easy to transfer your lists from Goodreads to StoryGraph). You know, while we're moving things.

(I posted this on the other place and was surprised by how many people it helped so thought I'd do it here too.)
