Trump’s DOGE Cuts Are a Texas-Sized Disaster Reckless agency layoffs and the dismantling of federal relief programs could leave the Lone Star State in peril.

This disaster is πŸ’―% on Trump, Musk & sycophant Greg Abbott.

Those of us in central Texas and the Hill Country are exhausted, frustrated & ANGRY. We haven’t even begun to process the devastation to life and property.

But we will.

Vote out the fucking TXGOP.

The way the media has brushed the story of Democratic lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband being assassinated in their home by a Trump supporter is wild. Another example of the mainstream news media in our country being a problem.

Funny they really think they are so cool and edgy by cussing people out. They clearly don't understand that we usually don't respond because they are so delulu, but they are about to see the ugly and petty side of the Democrats and it won't be pretty.

Yeah despite what I said earlier, I am not going to dump on her since others can't help from showing their true colors.

Well this is a bold move because her main fame was being in the Biden admin. Now she just looks grifter and a sell out. But I am sure she looking for a network gig like the rest. But whatever, no one will care by the 19th.

I am sure anyone over the age of 26 is now an oldie. So even Rep. Frost would be considered AARP to this group.

I understand the "olds" are their imaginary enemy now. But what is going to happen in 15 years? The truth is if someone is given a cush job they are NEVER leaving it. They think the Boomers who actually worked for their seats are bad their peers will exceed their entitlement 10-fold.

I feel the hardest thing to deal with is that social media has allowed people to not be accountable for their words and in some cases real life actions. But on a more superficial level you can't even enjoy most art forms because people have the most misinformed hot takes.

And there is real life consequences when people aren't able to "read the room" or pick up on body language, unable to have actual discussions, correctly communicate or handle drilled down questions without having vey big and often times loud reactions.

I totally agree. The saddest consequence is that toxic bullying has also lead to people not being able to pick up any real life social cues. So they are either completely clueless that their opinions are unwarranted or inappropriate. Or they are overly sensitive and defensive.

I was surprised too. The crazy thing is most of us aren't even old but feel like we have to put out Boomer energy because everything has become so loose.

Like people letting their kids as young as 13 cuss in front of them. It isn't the end of the world but I just don't get the why behind it.

My mom was a stay at home mom and my sister and I have a 7 year age gap. So you she had a lot of free time to herself. And you best believe I was expected to be outside with my friends all of the time. But I can't imagine not having that freedom in my childhood. Kids now really do seem so repressed.

A teacher was telling me that is a challenge for her elementary kids to not call her by her first name. They don't even want to say Ms.---- And she said the parents aren't correcting them either.

Especially not in this current climate. So if we want to keep our seats and win some, we are going to have to keep things strictly topical than based on certain demographics.

21.05.2025 22:04 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Sadly I think that is a lost cause. In politics maga/GOP leaned into it after Obama. Now Dems are quickly catching up. Which means the messaging from Dems is going to have to become less "we and us" and more "you and yours". Of course I hate it but people just don't care about others.

So they and their children are still dependent on the GenX grandparents, who are loving it. All the while their lack of self resilience and entitlement is being seen and felt all over social media and even workplaces. And the main reason why we have the President that we do.

21.05.2025 21:57 πŸ‘ 5 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Doubtful because many were raised by latch key kids who wanted their kids to have the upbringing they didn't have. The problem is they didn't seem to know when it cut it off. So now you have young GenZ parents living with their GenX parents but still being told their brains aren't developed.

21.05.2025 21:57 πŸ‘ 4 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

So true there is a real sense of brokenness on both sides that we are currently seeing that is different than before. This whole dismissive attitude about people dying from cancer is so disrespectful. And this is coming from someone who is rarely shocked or offended but even I am like WTF.

21.05.2025 21:50 πŸ‘ 4 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

Yes most of us needed some therapy but I am happy that my parents allowed me to be independent and live my life outside of them. Now we have parents thinking it is a flex to drop off and pick up their 26 year old from work. Because they feel it is too stressful for them to drive. 😐

21.05.2025 21:43 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

So true, the real power is always with those that are behind the scenes building relationships and making verifiable change. And they are the ones that don't want to be see or heard.

21.05.2025 21:36 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

The young people actually putting in the work aren’t Camera Hoggs, they’re actually doing the work so of course they are ignored by everyone.

21.05.2025 21:25 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 1 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

And the truth is a lot of people really just don't care. All of this is just a way to rage bait on social media to make them feel edgy or morally superior. Their fight isn't for real change just for engagement.

21.05.2025 21:30 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

This why I feel it's an American issue and it does cross all races and genders in the sense you can read some of the most ignorant comments about immigration from a 60 yr white man that sounds like something a 20 year Black girl will also say. We now are some of the most intelligently dumbed people.

21.05.2025 21:30 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

The joke is despite their big egos Boomers will try to fight for everyone. So they actually are the best protectors for younger people. Real GenX Dems aren't going to coddle some 30 yr olds so they better put in the work or get ignored and left behind.

21.05.2025 21:21 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Exactly there are too many grown adults who act like politicians are employees that just pop up to work. They are voted in. So if older people were elected than that is who Americans voted for. But if they want younger people than they need to nominate them and get their peers to vote for them.

21.05.2025 21:04 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Newsflash a 100 Dems could die in office and if entitled and lazy Americans don't actually do the work and VOTE in younger people it doesn't matter. Stop acting like it's about young people not being catered to. Bernie had 2 chances and wasn't voted in before because his stans didn't vote for him.
