Love this.
Love this.
@andrewdonkin.bsky.social Ooh, looking forward to this!
Really looking forward to this.
Beautiful conkers. Lovely and new.
I mentioned to #teen1 that I hadn’t seen any conkers so far this autumn. So she brought me some. Beauties - all of them. Thank you. #autumn #thewheelturns
Very much that.
This is beautiful…
We haven’t lost!
Little boat on a pebble beach.
Random summer holidays shot of the day. This lovely little boat on the pebble beach at #whitstable last week. Windfarm and Red Sands Forts just visible on the horizon. #Summer
@andrewdonkin.bsky.social @godlikegenius.bsky.social At least three of these issues feature Alan Moore.
Headline of the Day. #goats
Love @tim-bird.bsky.social
One of the best books on #writing gets a 25th anniversary edition. Good, practical advice from a master.
Many moons ago, we recommended @andrewdonkin.bsky.social, Eoin Colfer & Giovanni Rigano's book 'Illegal'. We have now read their follow-up 'Global' and it's just as powerful and moving as the first one. It's about climate change & the impact it has on communities & especially children. #EconSky
Great to see an exhibition opening tonight that made use of the space in Thames-Side Studios Gallery. This was Chimera, end of year show by artists from MASS Sculpture . Some lovely eye catching work. Especially the fab tree house created by my new BFF Jeremy with his fav graphic novel inside.
Love that cover.
Nice work, sir.
Gosh, it’s hot. Random panel of the day from the new Scarlet Traces by Ian Edginton and D’Israeli. From this week’s @2000AD Naughty Martians. #randomcomicspaneloftheday
Perfect.
You’re making me jealous!
I was sitting in the garden, near dust, watching some fly a few days ago. Lovely.
On a scorching Sunday in the UK, here’s today’s #StandingStoneSunday a cool black and white shot of an #avebury standing stone taken last time I was there which was last November. Enjoy your stones. Enjoy your Sunday. Stay safe. #neolithic
It’s a crowded old river Thames outside the #writing studio this afternoon. The large boat on the right is an old Mersey ferry that once hosted The Beatles. In the distance on the north shore is the sugar factory with its familiar tall towers. #london #photography
Love letter review for Craig Thompson’s new (adult) #graphicnovel Ginseng Roots in the Observer today. #comics #graphicnovels
Top Night at the @BFI with a very rare screening of the original print of Stars Wars. Nothing changed. Nothing altered. No CGI in sight. As part of their Film on Film Festival. Would recommend. No notes. #starwars #bfi #film
It’s really fab. We loved it. More please!
Boom time! Even just the words “Summer Special” remind me of sitting in the back of mum and dad’s car, heading to the south coast on holiday with a copy of glossy, oversized, Beano Summer Special on the seat next to me. (Also, still think about The Shadow Man daily. Agh.)
Brilliant stuff.
Brilliant
Nice to see Alison Bechdel’s new graphic novel, Spent, getting a page in yesterday’s @theguardian.com #graphicnovels
Great talk & book launch by Toby Hadoke at the BFI last night. His new book on TV’s Quatermass Experiment looking like the definitive story behind TV’s first SF classic. Nigel Kneale’s story has influenced so many other creators over the years. #tv #quatermass #books
