in other words, most of the city's traffic engineering is made up and vibes-based

the one intersection that didn't get a 4-way stop continued to see incidents, including (yep) cars going into people's yards. the residents on that corner fought NDOT for months (after our ability as CMs to request such signs was taken away by a certain ex-director) and finally got them installed
not the same, obviously, but I remember an eval showing speed reductions on 10th Ave S after residents successfully got three stop signs, at least one of which was against engineers' wishes. this was right after bike-lane flex posts were installed, too. that street is night and day from 10 years ago
also, I will say TPC always had my back, special shoutout to Saralee Woods
before stop sign: multiple drivers ran cars into resident's fence, yard, and house before stop sign. she wrote me a letter to read to TPC saying her grandchildren couldn't play in her yard because it wasn't safe
after stop sign: no cars in her yard or house
look at me. i'm the traffic engineer now
an instagram post showing a local market coming to Wedgewood-Houston
“European-style neighborhood market” the francophobes have suffered humiliating total defeat in Wedgewood-Houston. their pantalon are full of merde
your life will never be the same (complimentary)
I read this as they will self-flagellate for three days as penance
¡¡Ay no!! ¿Todos los ciudadanos de Nashville tienen sueño?
Pues sí yo tambien estoy cansado. De hecho estoy harrrrto
¿Por qué, mi amigazo? ¿Ya no tienes ganas de trabajar? No te preocupes, chavo, disfrútete bien hoy! Siempre hay más que hacer. Lo importante es dar cuenta que hay mucha belleza en este mundo si sabemos donde buscarla.

Everyone who could do something about this is on this app. They absolutely see Katherine's posts. She points out low cost fixes that could save lives. And yet
I hear there's a park across the street that they love to use for private events

hey @nashvilledot.bsky.social stop telling bike riders to get up on the sidewalk just to cross a disgustingly huge intersection safely. amateur hour stuff
day after my birthday. there are no coincidences
this project has more than $1m in private funding on it and has had multiple start dates, including last summer. so I'd say it's a particularly egregious example of their consistently bad information
given they have been saying they'd start in Q1, after years of delays, I'd say save the statue materials for bike racks
a hilarious six-week timeline to construct a $5m concrete-protected bike lane
respectfully, ndot: lol. lmao
time to leave the gc -- or, as i call it, pull a tom sawyer
“you’re only active when sitting in a car” - traffic engineers
living in the same place and having the same phone number your whole adult life is crazy. people just pop up out of nowhere, like a tv series guest appearance from nine seasons ago. no regard for character development
how is it February 25 already
me looking at tuition going up at my child's daycare: they could fix me
to think that I was worried about not having something to look forward to after the Olympics
it’s time to rent a fleet and #PrintTheCurb
hey Ben out of curiosity, what happens when a rich neighborhood slices an entire floor of affordable housing off a development
do they allow drinking because
they say posting will change the world
