If you're living somewhere outside the USA, one thing you can do is pressure your leaders to boycott World Cup and Olympic events here.

Not sure if I'm a typical voter, but I heartily support the Greens being the negotiator of choice for the government wherever possible. Better outcomes every time. To be fair I don't care so much about the political rationality of doing this, but I imagine most people prefer progress to perfection.
