Tomorrow workers are replacing our power panel so we will have no power all day. I have four knitting WIPs. My brain insists maybe I need to prep a fifth JUST IN CASE. Brain, chill. We also have these bookcases full of books which require no power. We will survive one single day. (Probably.)

I realised I have only three projects cast on so I panicked and prepped a fourth project to work on because WHAT IF. I might accidentally finish two of my projects tomorrow unexpectedly!! (They are shawls, they will not be finished.) But now I have a sweater prepped JUST IN CASE.

I should not have to see vids/pictures of people knitting unless I am also allowed to be knitting. (I am home now, from being at softball games all weekend, so now I can knit! (I cannot take my knitting to softball because where I live, it rains most of the time.)

The trouble with coloring over is I need the black squares to be lighter than black. (I have bought a few patterns in my life where the designer provided the patterns both ways! It was so nice!)

Question for folks who use charts (knitting charts, etc) - is there an easy way to inverse the colors of a black and white chart? If my light yarn corresponds to the black squares on the chart, my brain keeps losing track of what I should be doing. Working from a .pdf if that matters.

Did some yarn auditioning for a hat, didn't find what I wanted so I ended up ordering yarn...for two completely different things. And I cast on for a cowl. So...I've had a productive evening? I guess?

I say "fun" like I wasn't trying to tink back brioche sts earlier in the day. But I've had a brownie since then.

There are so many different ways of doing it; I think you have to try a few techniques to find one that makes your brain happy. Two of my favs that aren't super popular are Mountain Form Slippers (www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...) and Sally's Slippers (www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...) Both are free!

The 2 needle slippers by EZ, yes! They were fun, but I think there are other slipper patterns I prefer. But I'm glad I finally made them!

Zofran is so weird for me - it gets rid of the feeling of nausea but it doesn't get rid of what was causing the feeling, so I end up feeling bad/weird/ucky but without the outlet of feeling nauseous. Which was absolutely not your point. ;-)

Thirty years ia close to half my age, so it still seems kinda long. Not in knitting-pattern-years, but in general.

Found myself saying this morning, in all honesty, "Twenty years really isn't that long." In related news, I am finally knitting a pair of slippers from a pattern I got in 1995.

Important safety tip: if you have had a cold for a week and spent a lot of time coughing, drinking some apple cider with guava puree in it sounds yummy, but also your throat will be set on fire. Although it is also very yummy.

Had some chocolate covered pretzels stacked on my desk for snacking while knitting. Also sitting on the desk are my two bat-shaped, pretzel-sized needle stoppers, not currently in use because knitting. You will NEVER guess what happened next.
