Flavor Text: Its steel body, designed to pierce mobile armor, has missiles and gun ports for taking its targets out.

Gun Volt (Mega Man X), a stocky blue robot charging up two large blasts of energy from its shoulders. Gun Volts appear in the first Mega Man X game, being fought in Spark Mandrill and Storm Eagle’s stages, as well as the opening stage. They charge up sparks that travel along the ground, and can also fire missiles from its shoulders. Their name is sometimes translated as Gunbolt. The patterns of the ruins in the background are of a TEPPEN original concept regarding the Mega Man X series, where it took place thousands of years in the past in an advanced civilization. The diamond(?) like shape is recurring imagery, appearing in other cards involving the X series, meant to evoke something technological.

Flavor Text: Born of the dark power held by the corrupt organization, its victims soon transform into fellow undead abominations.

A zombie (Resident Evil), a living corpse surrounded by blood reaching up at the viewer. Zombies are the de facto enemy of the Resident Evil series, this particular zombie’s design being taken from the first game’s remake of those enemies. Zombies will sometimes scare players by attempting to grapple their legs, leaving them open to attack to any other enemies in the area.

Flavor Text: Even in the face of countless wings, he never gave up fighting for his life. But by then, it was already too late.

Forest Speyer (Resident Evil), a man in a blue military outfit holding a grenade launcher being attacked by crows. Forest is a minor character in the first RE game and its remake, he was a member of the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team that was sent to investigate the Arklay Mountains after reports of brutal murders. The team eventually stumbled upon the Spencer Mansion, and went in to investigate, resulting in the deaths of several members as they slowly got picked off by the monsters that lurked inside. Forest was killed by a swarm of zombified crows, and can be found in the Eastern terrace of the manor. After investigating his corpse (if playing as Jill, you’ll actually be given his grenade launcher), he’ll get up as a zombie and attack you. The 2002 remake also added a special mode known as “One Dangerous Zombie”, where a zombified Forest with bombs strapped on his body will chase you around the manor, instantly killing you if you attempt to attack him.

Flavor Text: This grudge-bearing Reploid with the ability to change the world wanders the land in search of his sworn enemy.

Vile (Mega Man X), a purple robot with a large shoulder mounted cannon. Vile is a recurring enemy in the Mega Man X series, being a former Maverick Hunter like X and Zero that went rogue and joined Sigma’s rebellion due to his hatred for X.

Notably, Vile’s design here seems to also be going for the same changes that X and Zero received as playable characters in TEPPEN, having more segmented joints, and visible balljoints in other areas. The odd diamond pattern in the background is also recurring imagery with the X series in TEPPEN, the lore in this universe is that the MMX series took place thousands of years ago in an advanced civilization, and has recently reawaken in modern times.

Flavor Text: Perching on its blood-starved wings, it swoops down from the rafters to go after its prey.

A Blood-goyle (Devil May Cry), a red colored gargoyle-like demon with a long tail in place of its lower half. Blood-goyle’s made their debut in Mission 5 of DMC3, where Jester summons a few to attack Dante. Blood-goyles attack by charging at Dante, and that’s it. They’re also capable of splitting their body up into smaller copies if attacked with a melee weapon, so your only option to take them out is return them to a stone form with your guns, and then destroy them with a melee weapon.

This card also appears with the name Bloodstained Statue (T005), which is spawned from Jester (COR 114).

Flavor Text, spoken by Elena: Get hurt? No problem! The power of the earth will heal you!

Elena (Street Fighter), a pretty woman with white hair jumping in the air as light shines around her. “Healing” is one of Elena’s signature Super Arts in the Street Fighter series. Elena stops fighting for a moment and crouches as light surrounds her, her HP bar filling back up quickly before returning to the fight. This move was particularly infamous when she made her return in Ultra Street Fighter IV.

Flavor Text: Wherever she goes, the queen hunts the same: her powerful legs trap her prey, and one strike from her tail kills it.

Rathian (Monster Hunter), a green scaled flying wyvern, with its tail held high, turning to face the viewer as it charges a fiery blast from its mouth. Debuting in the very first Monster Hunter game, Rathian are the female version of the Rathalos species of monster. The biggest distinction between the two is that the Rathians have poisonous barbs on their tails, as well as primarily hunting on the ground, compared to the Rathalos’ poisonous talons and penchant for aerial attacks. Like the Rathalos, it is also capable of shooting fire blasts from its mouth. The flavor text makes note of its powerful legs, something that nearly all Monster Hunter games make note of in its in-game descriptions.

Flavor Text: Fools shall die a merciless death. They always have; they always will.

Charlie Nash, a soldier with a yellow jacket and green pants, falling to his death as M. Bison, a mad dictator dressed in red with a long black cape, looks on. This card’s art is based on Charlie’s ending in Street Fighter Alpha 2, where he is betrayed by Shadaloo loyalists hiding in the US Military, and he falls to his (alleged) death fighting Bison. Until Street Fighter V, and excluding his non-canonical Street Fighter Alpha 3 story, this truly was the end of Nash in SF, as his death was meant to serve as Guile's motivation in most games.

Flavor Text: All they wanted was to revive the kingdom that lay dormant under the sea. Alas, it's no more than a dream... for now.

Rikuo (Darkstalkers) along with his wife Aquaria and their child Ricky, looking out at the ocean. Rikuo and his family are mermen, with Rikuo’s stories in the Darkstalkers games always revolving around his people. In the first game, Rikuo’s people were mostly wiped out by Pyron’s arrival, being the emperor of these merfolk, Rikuo set out to find any survivors, which is how he meets his wife. In Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire, Rikuo & Aquaria’s son Ricky goes missing, having been sucked into the Majigen, an alternate plane of reality created by Jedah. In his ending, not only does Rikuo find his son, he finds an entire other race of mermen, giving both groups new hope for one another. The card’s name and flavor text seem to mainly pull from the first 2 games’ motivation for Rikuo in terms of restoring his underwater kingdom, though Ricky’s older design is from VSav.

As a quick aside; in Japan, Rikuo’s name is Aulbath, and his son Ricky’s name is Alba.

Makoto debuted in the Street Fighter III's 3rd update, the iconic "Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike — Fight for the Future". Her motivation in both that game and in Super Street Fighter IV is to raise awareness of her family's dojo and their fighting style of Rindo-kan karate. She’s a very serious fighter and focused fighter despite her youth.

Flavor Text: Calling out to their flock for help, these red-crested bird wyverns use their sheer numbers as a weapon.

Velocidrome (Monster Hunter), a blue raptor-like bird wyvern leaping down as it roars. Velocidrome are very common monsters that appear in nearly every Monster Hunter game prior to World, being some of the earliest monsters a hunter can encounter, having a very basic attack pattern. Like all monsters that have the -drome name scheme, they’re capable of calling for smaller members of their species known as Velociprey to overwhelm their prey.
