Buying an EV and having it towed almost 30 miles if it breaks down (more than $250) isn't an option for us. I'm not sure how else I can impress on you that purchasing an EV while living in a town with no EV mechanics & the nearest service that far away is out of the question. We're not wealthy.
We live in a rural area in the US (Georgia, to be specific). I'm disabled, and my daughter's family lives just above the poverty level (we share a house and expenses). All 3 of our vehicles have more than 230,000 miles on them. We can't afford to replace even one. An EV is out of the question.

I'm no longer an evangelical -- or any kind of believer. Once I left, I started realizing more and more every day just how toxic the whole thing is.
There aren't many of us. The only ones I know are members of my own family and my daughter's BFF. Leaving after decades is very traumatic.
With what money? There are no EV mechanics in town - we'd have to pay to have it towed 27 miles if it broke down. The nearest charger is at the Dominos 18 miles from here. We can't afford to put a charger on our property.
I wish we could get one.
