The guy is into war, Riley Gaines, and Jerry Miller. Absolute dip shit
It is more enjoyable to step on a thousand legos barefoot than to read the content of a John McGuire email
They should give him a plaque!
JPA sidewalk part 1
JPA sidewalk part 2
On this beautiful day I enjoyed walking the areaβs newest section of sidewalk, which fills in a gap on the north side of JPA near the medical center.
There is an unfortunate hump at one point that isnβt well designed, but overall much better than prior state.
This is an Allison Spillman appreciation post.
The worst people are coming after her again and they can all go to hell.
Well I think they think they actually are governing well, all evidence notwithstanding
Big day for the βDemocrats who donβt know how to governβ coalition
What an embarrassment
Unfunded inclusionary zoning mandates are de-facto taxes on new housing that worsen the housing shortage because they require homebuilders to rent or sell a percentage of their new homes at a loss.
Funded inclusionary zoning, on the other hand, is a great tool to economically integrate new housing.
Ah yes, the βyou peopleβ from a local official, as if βwe peopleβ arenβt their bosses
Charlottesville Education Association And we have signed contracts for both our bargaining units!!! ...
I am so proud of the CCS support staff, CEA, the bargaining team, and most of all my wife for all the work that went into making this contract happen.
This was by and for the workers!!! Union Strong!!
This one little trick to retention: treat your employees well
bosses everywhere shocked that collective bargaining involves..... bargaining......?
Yeah negotiating is the backbone of the whole operation
Would love a ban Dominion executives from being on public college and university boards, but that would mean ending the patronage system
Sanders said the city has had to hire staff just to work on the constant negotiations. "Having four contracts is quite a pickle that you have put us in with having us have this many contracts to manage," Sanders said. "We're in a perpetual state of constantly negotiating. That is the reality. We finish one and we move to the next one. And sometimes we have Two at the same time."
I really do not love the negative energy towards collective bargaining that city and city school leaders publicly routinely express. It trickles down to their management staff, who then blame unions for problems that are in fact managementβs responsibility to solve.
The answer to the question: why is workday?
Enterprise software exists to enable upper-management to standardize, monitor, and control. The rest of us, those being monitored and controlled, pay the price of inefficiency in our every day use of the software
Onwards!
I regret to inform you that Ezra Douthglesias is at it again π§π¬
Man, what happened to these guys? I don't think my memory is so bad that I misremember them excusing Nazi tattoos, associating with white supremacists, & granting the premise of "birth tourism" in the 2010s.

I really appreciate @alixeharrow.bsky.social and others who continue to organize to make the city schools better for everyone.
Try and make it out Thursday evening!
βWe hear you all hate this system. So we decided to give you more of it to show our love.β
We got an awful email at work: uva tripling down on its commitment to Workday.
Iβll be honest - I hadnβt been there in awhile and deferred to the person I was meeting with on the decision. But such a great spot!
One thing I like about e-biking is how quickly I can move around town. Last Friday I left UVA hospital around 330pm and was walking into Tea Bazaar on the Downtown Mall 8 minutes later.
Reminding you about the two meetings happening this evening!
