(3/4): During my PhD, I faced some of the most difficult moments of my lifeβlosing a close friend, navigating family health struggles, and recovering from a serious accident that left me unable to walk and required extensive physical therapy.
(2/4): This milestone feels especially significant as the first person in my family to earn a bachelorβs degree. A PhD once felt unattainable, but I have been incredibly fortunate to have the support of mentors, friends, educators, and family who helped make this dream a reality.
(1/4): I have successfully defended my PhD in infectious disease epidemiology. After presenting my defense seminar and undergoing my final examination, I received a unanimous, unconditional pass.
