This match is one of my go-to examples of why I appreciate AEW. The ending was a huge let down, but AEW acknowledged it, Mox laments it in his book, and Mox and Eddie lampshaded it on TV. Respecting your fans means we're willing to offer grace when mistakes do, inevitably, happen.

I know the percentage of fans that buy the PPVs is bonkers high. But also, I have never regretted a dollar I have spent on tickets to live shows or to watch those PPVs. I spend money as a fan because they give me something that feels worth it.
I think it's a carryover from all the former CHIKARA folks, with the "we respect our audience" ethos. You never want the audience to have full control (because all art should challenge/surprise the audience a little), but wrestling *is* supposed to be collaborative between fans and the performers.
Learning that one of my closest friends gave the original Scream only one star on Letterboxd. I feel like I don't really know him at all.
