it was fun to figure out how to build a big ball from recycled pallet wood. I took it out for a mile long roll on the desert to it's assigned location, but every time I stepped away from it, someone would figure it was cool to push, and I'd have to go chase it down to get back

Today's tribute to that thing out on the desert is the 2007 burning man project I called "Global warming" that was a 7' diameter hallow wooden sphere that I eventually painted like a globe prior to rolling it into the blazing fire at the base if the collapsed man.

Finishing up a small owl, glass mosaic. I will tack fuse it together (the only grout is clear glass frit).
It has plenty of personality and will look great as a suncatcher. Used the native pueo markings, they have cool dark lines around the eyes.
