I was going to use my usual endesga64+ palette for this piece then my friend was like "make it purple it would go so hard" and they were right
Had to refund marathon because it doesn't work on linux
The people leading the tech industry right now don't know how computers work and are totally incurious about them too.
Isn't this just unambiguous fraud lmao

Singlehandedly killing the middle class and hollowing out American industry with my obscure corporate policies.
That's right
Mac minis are also $600 if you want a proprietary OS that arguably isn't being run into the ground to chase trends. The new MacBook Air came out today without a major price bump due to ram shortages. MacOS and Linux are both viable alternatives to Windows imo.
Linux is easier than ever to try. There's incredible distros like Kubuntu and Bazzite that she easy to setup and use. Most Steam games run on Linux now. There's resources to learn things like the command line too.
I'm a software developer and I hate complexity and setting shit up myself. If you want a more painless linux experience, look at batteries included distributions like Mint, Kubuntu, or Bazzite. The command line is intimidating but there's like 10 commands you can learn that will make your life easy
I agree, but it's notably not the only area where the Chinese industrial base is catching up to us. They're getting better at building everything from electronics, 5th generation fighters, and ships, at scale. One could argue that this means that the American industry is an inefficient jobs program.
That might be the main point. The US spends a boatload of money on this stuff for marginally more performance. I suppose that manufacturing fewer weapons is arguably a good thing though, we should not be engaged in the kind of imperial conflicts that require them.
A lot of the weapons used by the US today were pretty visionary. The AIM-9 is 70 years old but modern AIM-9X can do things like over the shoulder shots thanks to high g thrust vectoring, and the sensors are a lot more advanced.
Tomahawks are also getting pretty long in the tooth as a subsonic munition. If Wikipedia is accurate, shaheds have more range and a comparable warhead while being a third as fast for 2% of the cost. China can probably produce a hypersonic for half the price too.
Resisting the urge to post "YO THIS IS THAT PRIMO SHIT" on some shy artist's masterwork
Meanwhile shaheds are $50k and a wire guided fpv drone is probably under $10k if we're being very conservative.
Do any artists know any exercises for getting better at fabric folds? I'm finding myself drawing this a lot but I'm not always super comfortable knowing how things are supposed to look.
Like once a month lmao
