Honestly, the best part is that once I get home tomorrow (after convention and another event) I don’t have to leave again until at least Monday. What a gift!

I mean, is that really that far fetched?

It was alarming to hear a European declare today on NPR that they have to start considering whether the US is now an enemy (he actually declared it pretty straightforwardly, I just softened it for my own sake.)

Yes, she is a junior. She loves Chicago and I love that she loves it and is back in Illinois. Now she understands why her Midwestern parents did things differently than her southern classmates!

I think this is one of the reasons spiritual practices are so important, it is not something you can do on your own, it comes from God’s work in you. And, a whole lot of humility and leaning on your mentors and parish leaders.
