Today, Rep. Castro and I visited precious Liam and his father, Adrian, at the Dilley Detention Center.

My heart absolutely breaks for Liam, his family, and every person being wrongfully detained.

I am deeply concerned about Liam and every child at the Dilley Detention Center.

No parent should have to worry about whether their child is eating, getting medical care, or deteriorating in detention.

What I saw was alarming — and unacceptable. Liam must be released immediately.

Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

I see it differently. Public solidarity, authenticity, and encouragement aren’t unserious — they’re human. Democracy benefits when leaders don’t stand alone and aren’t forced into sameness. Our differences are what make this work. 💙🫶🏻🇺🇸
