It went off the rails and into delightful pandamonium early when we pulled the card for where the train was coming from and one player insisted the sky so we rolled with it.

the town, once famous for it's pasta production, has been taken over by Billy Bojangles the Russian mafia Borzoi hound disguised as a man and his crew, who are exporting illicit smacko's filled tortellini.
Having a fantastic time with friends playing @pidj.bsky.social 's The Station with my RPG group - our train is currently transporting sparkling heavenly water from the sky to hell for a devil's soiree & the station is full of taxidermied pidgeons. There's a knitting nanna protest group outside &...

Moar cake dragons - including a lime jelly slice, a sprinkle doughnut, a blackforest, a neopolitan cone, a lamington and a profiterole stack.

Eight paintings hung on a rough white painted brick wall. They depict a variety of little dragons based on cake or curled around cutlery
My "Delicious Dragons" exhibition is now up at the "Sonny and Betty" cafΓ© in Mayfield Newcastle <3
It's my first solo show in about eight years! Watercolour and Gouache paintings of dragons based on delicious things.
After study that crystal should possibly be placed in a very sunny place so we at least get a rainbow out of it.
I clean one of those out of the shower grate every other month it seems.
It would be four species for this layout: but the reason to stop at four would be to not burn out and because I have SO MANY other ideas in he wings β my mottos include: boundaries are healthy, and stop while you still want to do a thing π
Four queens in a simple, flat limited colour palette: Egyptian, Elizabethan, French, Tang
The tshirt design I did for a NZ medieval event earlier this year. I'm v pleased with how it turned out!
A blatant parody/tribute to the best of Blur artist.
I may need to do a microbt version but how to settle on species?!?
You already have a title - that is hopeful π
Please!
I actually love the coughs and cute sneezes, paper shuffling and soft pencil scuffing of the wrapt audience of the prior ones - I am a part of the crowd listening (and remotely scowling at that one person whispering in one episode)
Never let perfection be the enemy of done.
Given that these bats sing perhaps they are carolling (requesting figgy pudding :D )
I have lost count of the number of times I have recommended your podcasts to friends, and hope you may contemplate another series.
I just wanted to randomly pop
In to say Thankyou β I listen to your "Approaching Shakespeare" and "Not Shakespeare" podcast series over and over againthis last half decade or so, always finding, or being reminded of ways to look at media, discuss it, and learn from it. Thank you!
Also, I think this one probably warrants being turned into a sticker... it feels like it's gonna be representative of the year for a lot of peopleβ not quite a fire horse but certainly a fire something
A pencil sketch of a Bonnacon a mediaeval mythical ox like beast blast flaming hot crap for miles at its enemies.
It is the final day of @pidj.bsky.social 's delightful marginalia minigame zine.
They have added a few extra marginal slots so more people can have their own handpainted illumination by me both sent to them and included in the zine.

Also, you can do a big-arse illumination so the line work is all a thumbs width wide - make an card cutout illuminated animal as a present for a friend party so people can take selfies with it.
It doesn't need to need a magnifying glass <3
One can always use art liner pens - I have certainly used white gel pens at points in the past when I haven't had good brushes to hand and it hasn't been for a commission.
Better to do and be imperfect than to let expectation of perfection stop you from starting. <3
If you ever do , please @ me
Illumination is very in at the moment :D if people need custom illuminations of their dogs for their journals, I may be of service...
Three days left - please signal boost - Pidj is a fabulous game designer and they annually release new and delightful content like this.

Now & then I look at my life, as I receive another commission to draw a bat, or am asked how much I'd charge to give a demonstration of drawing dragons, & boggle at how I have come to be here...
(Work. Consistant work. And being someone who goes "Hey if you need an illustrator - I love doing this")
If you have thoughts on angry snails and armed rabbits and hedgehogs carrying provisions for their babies, recommend some marginalia for Veritable Tales!

An illuminated border in the flemish style, with strawberries, banksia, a owl, paper daisies, a numbat, kangaroo paw, midjim berries and cornflowers plus a tiny bat and plenty of snails around a marginalia drawing game
Pidj has shared it publicly on the kickstarter so I can preen a little about the illuminated border I did for what is going to be a sumptuous zine of mini-games:

Invest in creatives!
The call is open for marginalia creature suggestions in the updates section.
I am envious of you all getting your sticky fingers on the notepads and hope that there may be one left for me once the dust settles after the Hui :D
Coincidentally "Relooted" a museum heist computer game (which looks absolutely smashing) has been on my feeds this evening - where one gets to repatriate various non european cultural artifacts - the art style (and info bites on the historic objects) look *sumptuous*.
Hoping for more bat commissions this year, and even more in 2027, which will be the International Year of the Bat

Congrats @pidj.bsky.social for making the funding goal for Veritable Tales!
I'm half way through the fanciest border page & looking forward to starting the custom marginalia for that tiers backers.
@levostregc.bsky.social - possibly you might give us a shout out?
