Daylight Saving Time is increasingly hard to notice when my digital devices are like, "What? Nothing happened. We know what time it is."

And my stove is left blinking and screaming, "IT HAPPENED! TIME SHIFTED UNNATURALLY! THEY'RE ALL LYING! ONLY I KNOW! ONLY I REMEMBER!"

Two white nationalists I exposed in a recent article showed up to try to intimidate me in person last night.

This is a press freedom issue.

Hereโ€™s what happened:

*You know that Ursula Le Guin myth about "Omelas"? Well this world is the opposite of that. There's this secret, ritual chamber holding eighty moguls in luxurious contentment, while the entire planet and everyone in it is in obvious suffering and decay

That's not true, but Bartleby the Scrivener practiced saying, "I would prefer not to," for ages, just so he'd be ready to say it when Chotiner asked for an interview.

If anyone is friends with any Georgian air traffic controllers, buy them a nice bottle of wine. As guardians of pretty much the only narrow gap still available between Europe and Asia that avoids both Iran, the Gulf, Ukraine and Russia, they are under some substantial pressure.

I always wondered if there were street-level heroes in the Marvel Universe who go around talking in Elizabethan English when in costume to freak out villains who figure "old-time English = God-tier hero."

"He called me 'varlet?' Aw crap he's like a Thor or Hercules or something!"

the thing about people like glenn greenwald saying that trump broke his promise to them is that you have to be the absolute stupidest motherfucker on the planet to believe that donald trump, violent racist bully, is a man dedicated to peace. 1

How Much I Dislike the Daily Mailย
ย
I would ratherย
eat Quavers that are six weeks stale,ย
blow dry the man bun of Gareth Bale,ย
listen to the songs of Jimmy Nail,ย
than read one page of the Daily Mail.ย
ย
If I was boredย
in a waiting room in Perivale,ย
on a twelve-hour trip on Network Rail,ย
halfway through a circumnavigational sail,ย
I would not read the Daily Mail.ย
ย
I would happily readย
the autobiography of Dan Quayle,ย
1001 Things You Can Do With Kale,ย
selected scripts from Emmerdale,
if it meant I didnโ€™t have to read the Daily Mail.ย
ย
Far better toย
stand outside in a storm of hail,ย
scratch a blackboard with a fingernail,ย
be swallowed by a humpback whale,ย
than have to read the Daily Mail.ย
ย
If I was blind ย
and it was the only thing in Braille,ย
I still would not read the Daily Mail.ย

PANEL 1: NARRATOR: "Cultivating the measured NPR cadence and placid deference to the military that characterizes the ideal neoliberal subject, Clark Kent returns to the editorial meeting..." A group of DAILY PLANET reporters are in a meeting, Clark Kent is responding to a question from his boss. CLARK: "Well, chief, the bombing campaign--"

PANEL 2: Clark is talking and the other reporters and co-workers look unhappy. CLARK: "Obviously war in the region is not-ah-"ideal," but regime change could ultimately provide socioeconomic benefits that far outweigh the regrettable civilian casualties..." CLARK (thinking): "As Superman, last son of Krypton, these words of course sicken me; however, it's Clark Kent's job to manufacture consent!"

PANEL 3: (inset in a larger panel) One reporter is whispering to another. REPORTER: "Kent is such an off-putting sociopath" REPORTER 2: "I hope he kills himself". An arrow points to this inset panel that reads "Thanks to super-hearing" from Clark's ear. Clark is smiling and thinking to himself. CLARK (thinking): "Looks like my secret identity as Clark Kent is safe...FOR NOW!"

MAY YOU GO SAFE

Written by Lord Dunsany on the death of a Mahometan friend. From The Saturday Review.

May you go safe, my friend, across that dizzy way
No wider than a hair, by which your people go
From Earth to Paradise; may you go safe today
With stars and space above, and time and stars below.
And at the further end may you not fail to reach
All that you hoped to find upon the other shore.
Where the long centuries go curving up the beach
And foam away and cease, and there is time no more.
And if, from some small door behind our Heaven, should stray
A weedy path, from which the orthodox refrain,
Round to your Paradise, I'll seek it out one day,
And sit and hear you tell rare Indian tales again.

Trump is completely failing to kill renewable energy, which now accounts for more than 25% of US electric power. At most, he has caused a small increase in coal at the expense of natural gas

This is what I need cis folks to understand.

It's been a decade.

Imagine living TEN FUCKING YEARS watching as a blatant, artificial campaign to erase your personhood, your identity and your safety chugs along, increasing in power every single day, and most people don't care or dismiss it

John Simm as the Master.

Roger Delgado as the Master.

Roger Delgado as the Master.

The Master's Tool will never dismantle the Master's A Perfect Circle.

The Master's Soen will, however, do the soundtrack for the movie about the Master's Karnivool cover band, Ukulalia.

And the Master's Puscifer will cover the Master's Mars Volta "Inertiatic ESP."
