Well, I'm romantically available now. Not getting into it here.
Now I'm not saying they should be completely separated, far from it. I do see how they go together, in terms of promoting concepts of acceptance and such. But to say all queer spaces should also be kink aligned does create scenarios where people do not feels safe or comfortable.
That said, the way I see it, saying that one is fundamental to the other alienates those who affiliate with one but not the other. Kink is not inherently queer, and being queer is not inherently kinky. Imagine a Venn Diagram, there are numerous instances of people on either side, and in the middle.
Thank you for recognizing that I mean no hostility when I say this. I’m not trying to compete with you to be “more correct,” there’s a lot of nuance to this, and it’s important to try not to approach debates from the angle of “I’ve already decided I’m right, and it’s my job to make that known.”

Good intentions, but bad take. Saying that it's "about sex" kind of implies that sex is the only thing that makes someone gay. There is love without sex. There are kids that are gay. Suggesting that kink is one of the most important parts of the LGBTQ movement is effectively the same thing as -->
