That’s what I’ve said, long term we obvs need a replacement, my point was mainly that at this level it’s not as simple as they think to get better than him. I’ve been his biggest critic but like it or not you struggle to get too much better than him in the champ

Becomes easier at premier league level but at this level it’s difficult. So much to consider with a goalkeeper, when you dominate the ball like us, got to be good with your feet as well as a good shot stopper, tough to find the balance

I find it a strange one with Meslier and he definitely deserves praise for last night... I feel like we can get better in the long run but goalkeepers are like strikers in that they're probably the hardest position to replace / sign, isn't overly straight forward #lufc

Oh yeah that's completely fair and on the club to get that right! Wingers wise I'd have liked us to take a chance on someone like Poku at Peterborough who would have been happy earning his place

No club has more than two full backs per side, down to the club determine whether they're fit enough for a full season, after that you're relying on U21s to step up if there's a crisis but you aren't keeping more than four full backs happy in a season

Oh aye I'm not arsed by it, especially when we concede so little at home but if we score in the first half I can just see it as one of those comfortable 2-0 wins that we often see. Take them all day long
