From what we've seen it's entirely plausible that neighbors outside the US are objectively more moral than US neighbors. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Except Minneapolis-Saint Paul, where the neighbors are saints. ⭐️

U.S. Sen. Klobuchar: Federal agents in Minnesota near 'original footprint,' contradicting Noem's claim U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar spoke with MPR News host Clay Masters about her reaction to Noem leaving the post.

U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar says she was told by a top White House official that federal immigration agents are at or near their β€œoriginal footprint” in Minnesota, contradicting a claim from the departing Homeland Security secretary.

In sum,

1. Labor market remains strong

2. Consistent with stabilization here & end to weakening

3. But weakening could easily resume

Last month's report was anomalously strong. Job losses & unemployment today look weak but most else (wage growth, hours, EPOP, PAEPOP...) looks stable.

How does recent growth compare to recent years?

Economy added just 0.16 million jobs over 12 months to Feb 2026.

Job growth stopped.

I feel like a basic humanity check when it comes to war is to ask how you’d feel if it happened in your country.

If missiles struck NYC or DC, would you accept it if the proclaimed goal was to dislodge someone awful from power, someone you hated?

I wouldn’t. (And not for lack of being a hater).

NIH Says It Will No Longer Recognize the Research Fellows’ Union NIH leadership said the union β€œshould never have been certified,” in an email to the union’s leadership.

NIH leadership wants to strip worker's rights from the majority of scientists on its campuses.

But, the NIH does not get to say whether we are a union or not. We do, and we are no strangers to having to fight for our union. Time for a short history lesson. 1/n

He should be censured by the Senate and be pressured to resign.

Election Day confusion due to rule changes can lead to disenfranchisement β€” people aren’t able to vote or their vote isn’t counted due to wrong place, wrong time. The disenfranchisement isn’t necessarily intentional, but can impact outcomes. And it often sparks rumors about intent.

Not only can I not think of a time when a sitting Secretary of Defense was ever the guest of honor at a political fundraiser, but I definitely can't think of a time when he did so weeks after starting a massive, unnecessary war

This marks a stunning 40 deaths during the second Trump administration.

This cannot continue. There must be real accountability for ICE and DHS.

Hey all,

What questions do you have on the Iran war?

@jvl.bsky.social, @timmiller.bsky.social and @sarahlongwell25.bsky.social will be going live today with The Next Level at 2PM ET. Send them to us and we'll send to the gang to answer.

There was no immediate threat from Iran, and there is still no clear objective.

Congress must immediately vote to end Trump's war with Iran.

I've radically revised and expanded this piece to try to keep up with the torrent of bullshit coming from the administration.

The key point remains: there was no imminent threat to America. This is a war of choice lacking a single compelling justification.

Congress must return immediately and vote to put an end to this war.

Every Senator should be on the recordβ€”the American people deserve to know which of their leaders supports another potentially bloody and costly war in the Middle East.

No war with Iran.

A Federalism Bottleneck? The Subnational Levers Constraining ICE

New from @splawinski.bsky.social at Can We Still Govern: To stymie ICE, look at the sources of its power.

It is important to reiterate that all law enforcement agents must have a judicial warrant or judicial subpoena to access non-public areas of the University, including housing, classrooms, and areas requiring CUID swipe access. An administrative warrant is not sufficient.
If law enforcement agents seek entry to non-public areas of the University, ask the agents to wait to enter any non-public areas until contacting Public Safety. Public Safety will contact the Office of the General Counsel to coordinate the University's response. Do not allow them to enter or accept service of a warrant or subpoena.
